JUST DO IT!

The above is one of the advert campaigns of Nike; the most popular sporting shoe manufacturer in the world.
They have touched the lives of millions of athletes world wide with their slogan.
The process of implementing viable ideas remains one of the most difficult tasks some individuals face in their daily lives.
It must be understood, that ideas without action are worthless.
Coming up with ideas is often time easy, but implementing these ideas, is the main issue.
Procrastination is the number one killer of destiny.
When one lingers too much on a particular task, it may create so many vacuums.
The Spanish novelist, Miguel de Cervantes once remarked: delay always breeds danger
Knowing is not enough, we must apply whatsoever we learn.
To be willing is not enough; we must learn how to do!
Jacob Bronowski once said; The world can only be grasped by action, not by contemplation the hand is the cutting edge of the mind
Enough of talking and planning.
We must proceed to the next level, which is the level of doing!
Some footballers do the playing with their tongues, while others prefer to remain quiet and choose to do the talking on the field of play.
That should be our attitude.
We must not use our mouth to build sky scrappers, while wallowing in abject poverty and lack. It is only the doers that God bless, the hearers are not blessed.
When you are afraid of undertaking a new venture, just go ahead and Do It
Never be afraid of failure, as it is part of the success equation.
Failure is a sign of progress, a sign that something is being done.
I am always amazed at the high work rate of the Germans.
They were part of the commissioning team that built the power plant, where I presently work.
They always complain about the long hours our management team spends holding meetings, without any corresponding action.
On their part, their meeting dont last for more than one hour, and they head to the field to do what they are paid to do.
In closing, I will love to share what Conrad Hilton said years ago: success seems to be connected to action. Successful people keep moving. They make mistakes, but they dont quit.
